Inferior decking systems will only partially prevent these types of outdoor decking issues. Poly Seal’s decking system creates a monolithic waterproof coatings. The Polyurea coating will protect the substrate underneath, redirect the water to the drains and prevent any leaking or flooding of living spaces below. Watertight system is a spray on application at high temps to induce best adhesion, after application the decks are usable within the hour.

Preparation
The Polyurea coating Poly Seal applies is only as good as the prep behind it. That is why Poly Seal takes great pride in our ability to properly assess a substrate and maintain all engineering and architectural codes on the preparation. Starting with hand sanding, mechanical abrasion, sandblasting and cleaning, Poly Seal makes sure that any surface we spray is 100% ready for the application.
Masking & Lining
Not all jobs are wide open spraying, most of the time Poly Seal will mask off areas to keep containment for the surrounding areas. Along with the preparation, Poly Seal has the capability to tape and plastic all surrounding surfaces that are not being sprayed with Polyurea. This is a vital step to eliminate all overspray and keep the air clean outside of the sprayed area.
Application
Just as important as the preparation and masking, the actual application of 80-150 mills of polyurea is what sets Poly Seal apart from our competition. Our state of the art proportioner and gun lays down a thick, elastic coating to protect the substrate underneath. In most cases, Poly Seal will make 4-5 passes over the area than apply a lite or aggressive aggregate (if needed) followed by a lite texture for aesthetics. Poly Seal can customize the aggregate to the customers specifications for more anti slip or just a different look.
Cleanup & Inspection
Poly Seal knows that getting getting back into production or service is vital for any company. That is why we boast a 30 minute Return to Service Time, by the end of the preparation and spraying, Poly Seal will have the area completely cleaned up and all masking and tape removed so you can get back to work, the SAME DAY! Polyurea has a 30-60 second tack free time which is unparalleled in the coating industry.
Our Coating Process for Decks
Remove membrane add, add first stripping to ensure proper fall away from the walls.
Install OBS sheeting.
Install perimeter flashing up the walls and along the front edge.
Install ACX underlayment, fill in screw holes and seams.
Sand entire surface in preparation for POL.
Build complete containment to prevent overspray on finished surfaces.
